What Co-writer Can Do

5.1 What Co-writer Can Do
- Read every document in the project (toggles don’t apply).
- Spots timeline gaps, POV drift, character inconsistencies.
- Creates new docs or reorganizes folders on request.
Think of Co-writer like a seasoned developmental editor, writing coach, and ghostwriter who lives inside your manuscript and never sleeps. It’s read every scene, knows every character quirk, and can jump from high-level story logic to line-by-line fixes on command. Ask it for a plot twist, a timeline audit, or a tighter paragraph, and it responds in seconds—drawing only from the project you’ve given it. Because it’s embedded in Plotdrive, it’s always up to date with your latest changes and can even create or reorganize documents for you. In short, Co-writer is the always-on creative partner that remembers everything so you can focus on writing the next sentence, not hunting for the last one. A note on the @ system: When you want Co-writer to zero in on something specific, just @mention the document or folder name in your message (e.g. @Chapter 7, @Outline, or @Characters). Co-writer will then pull only from what you @—perfect for narrowing focus without losing the rest of your project context. If you don’t @ anything, it will decide what’s most relevant based on your request (usually your open doc + ongoing chat).
5.2 Best Prompts & Sample Chats
| Goal | Ask Co-writer |
| Brainstorm | “Give me three twist ideas that fit my outline.” |
| Continuity | “List any age or date conflicts so far.” |
| Style Check | “Does Chapter 2 match the voice doc?” |
| Scene Fix | “Why does this dialogue feel flat, and how do I fix it?” |
5.3 Support Mode
Click the Support icon → switch Co-writer to Support to:
- Troubleshoot errors, manage billing, report bugs, ask questions about how to use Plotdrive.
- Human team members step in after the first response if needed.
