Creating Projects & Importing Work

Plotdrive’s workspace is built around a left-hand sidebar that keeps everything—drafts, notes, research—one click away. Master this panel and you’ll never hunt for files again.
2.1 Create —or Import—a Project
- Project menu (top-left). Click the name (“Your Project ▾”) to start a new project or switch between existing ones.
- Import a manuscript. Hit the Import icon (next to the project name) and drop in a DOCX, TXT, PDF, Markdown file, or ZIP. Plotdrive imports it all, and you can rename or split documents later (try using Co-writer to split imported books into chapter documents easily and fast)!
- Everything auto-saves. The moment the file lands, it’s encrypted in the cloud and synced to any device you open next.
